Why do you want to become staff?
I thought a lot about this, and these are my honest thoughts.

1. The first reason is quite personal; I have recently lost my job, so I have a lot of free time. I am not particularly looking for sympathy on that matter, but I am looking for a creative outlet and something to occupy the time. I have a set of skills that are currently not in use, so I was hoping to combine those skills with something enjoyable.

2. Continuing from the first reason, the second would be my interest in a community. I'd love to commit time and effort into making a community inviting, safe and by removing rule-breakers. I have thoroughly enjoyed the various activities ManaCube has to offer, so ... I thought it'd be a good opportunity. I wouldn't want to change anything, just ... keep everything in the scope that the creator envisioned for it.

3. The third reason would be more managerial. I have no interest in the benefits the staff role would offer, rather I would be solely focused on maintaining the rules and making sure everyone was having a good time. I find the opportunity to learn about the server-management style exciting and wish nothing but the best for the server.

4. Final reason is more an ambition component. I have always been interested in being a mod or staff of a Minecraft server, but no server has really kept me engaged or interested. The Skyblock server however keeps me coming back (cactus farm enjoyer) … I’d like to participate in the behind the scenes of the server, at least then the players can enjoy it as much as I have.

How long have you played on ManaCube?
I've played for a few years, on and off.

How many hours a week can you dedicate to Manacube? A large amount, potentially 20+

What skills do you feel you have that will help the server?
Extensive Team Management, Understanding of KPI’s and Strict Deadlines. IT Systems of varied complexity, Extensive Interpersonal Skills both written and verbal. Time management skills outside of deadlines etc. Commitment and a profound respect for morals, ethics and rules.

What experiences have you had which could help you as staff? Extensive Team Management, Understanding of KPI’s and Strict Deadlines. IT Systems of varied complexity, Extensive Interpersonal Skills both written and verbal. Time management skills outside of deadlines etc. Commitment and a profound respect for morals, ethics and rules.

My previous job was one in the Mental Health sector. I handled people of varied backgrounds and walks of life; I was a psychologist at a Drug and Alcohol Dependency clinic and helped people back onto the right path. I spent as much time as was required to assist a client or fix a problem, regardless of the time of day. The business always came first to me.

I used database systems, staff timesheet programs and an online database for reporting information about people/items.

To summarise, good with people and good with IT. A keen eye for detail and perseverance to get a job done. Work oriented.

What three attributes distinguish yourself from other players that qualify you to be a helper?
Empathetic, Firm yet gentle and Determined.

Please explain what you believe the role of a staff member is.
The role of a staff member is to enforce the rules for all players to maintain a comfortable, inclusive, and cheat-free environment. Their role may encompass reviewing reports, maintaining chat flow, or liaising with other staff members to inspect and review potential issues and fix them in a timely manner.

Are you able to use recording software? Yes

Anything else we should know?
I love meeting new people and expanding my social circle, I know that the staff-role isn't a social role, but it would be awesome meeting like-minded people in a tight-knit community like this one.

Thank you for the opportunity to be a staff member. I look forward to hearing any feedback.
