In a situation where you feel you are being attacked it's always a good idea to reflect on some of the choices you have made and information you have chosen to volunteer.
Remember that these are just basic tips and suggestions.
1. Protect your Minecraft Account - That's right you are responsible for the actions taken by your minecraft account and the security of it. Here are some three great tips for you.
4. Don't visit strange servers (especially without a VPN) - If someone is advertising a "new" server that you don't know, just logging in to their server can provide them with your IP address. Be choosy in where you play!
5. Don't join private Team Speak Servers - Team speak servers allow the owner to see your IP (unless you are behind a VPN). Based on their security settings they may also allow regular users to find your IP as well. Use extreme caution when vising / using any VOIP product.
6. Consider a VPN - A VPN is a virtual private network. Sometimes they cost a small fee (remember that free ones can be questionable so do your research). VPN's make it so that any site you are going to or any server you are going to gives a different IP address than what is really yours. This means that if someone were to try to "hit you off" they would only hit your VPN and you can easily redirect through another in your VPN settings.
7. Don't post pictures of yourself, your family, your friends, your school, your town - People can learn alot about you from what seems like harmless conversation. Google can be very powerful. Take the time to be careful about who you share information with and how much information you share.

Set your social media profile and information to private or be very careful in what you choose to upload - Most people don't even consider Facebook, snapchat, imgur, photobucket, twitter or the like. A determined person can easily search your name or ign and filter through to figure out which one is yours. Take the time to set it to private so only those trusted enough can view it.
9. Don't share / download files from another person - no really, that's where viruses hide! Don't accept file transfers on skype or other forms of file transfers from anyone you don't trust completely, you are leaving yourself open and vulnerable.
10. Use a decent antivirus / antimalware software - This is a given but I can't leave it out!

- Don't use predictable passwords
- Change your password often
- Don't give out your email or password
- Security Settings:
- Keep your skype from being easily resolved with the check of a box
- Go to Tools
- Click Options
- Click Advanced
- Click Connections
- Uncheck uPnP
- Check "Allow direct connections to your contacts only."
- If you have a proxy you can configure it at this point as well (Having a proxy assists with further protection)
- Click Save
- Don't skype with just anyone - yes I know that people can share your information and most people's names are easy enough to figure out, but take the time to be selective in who you share your Skype info with
- Don't include personal information in your skype profile (or create a public profile with false information)
- Set your Privacy Settings up properly

- Restart your computer
- If you feel that you are being attacked regularly look at means to change your IP address.
